Music is opinion. What is one man’s treasure, may be another’s garbage. Given this, it bugs me when people wank hard over one particular artist and say they are “The Future” or something else completely hyperbolic. But I will go so far as to say, that there is just something about Nick Drake that completely floors me. Whatever it may be; a little bit of magic in his songs, his delivery, his spooky loveliness, his quiet roaring, or the fact that he was playing music about 40 years too early, there is just something that changes my mood when I listen to him. God rest his soul.
